The show is offered by Perlen Posie magazine, a very beautiful publication from Germany.
I am excited to be invited to teach there.
On Friday, August, 23rd I'll be teaching Twinkle, Twinkle. This is a full day class designed for the Intermediate to Advanced beader. A modified Herringbone and Peyote stitch is used to bezel around SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Rivolis creating a spiraling star shape. They are then suspended from a Spiral Herringbone necklace that conveniently has a hidden clasp in the front. Little shooting stars made from more sparkling SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS beads are added for even more shine!
This is a fun, and slightly challenging class where the techniques can be used for many other applications. This kit is also available in a Teal/Turquoise colorway.
Saturday, August, 24th I'll be teaching Sonoma Vines. This is a very popular 1/2 day class that is geared towards the Experienced Beginner. You don't need to know Peyote stitch but it is helpful if you've worked with tiny seed beads prior to taking the class. In the class I'll teach the technique of Diagonal Peyote to create several sizes of leaves using Delicas and seed beads. Sweet little tendrils will be added to give your earrings a natural feel. These earrings were named after the 100's of vineyards found here in Sonoma county. The image shown is the leaves as they change colors in the fall, but the class kit is available in several colorways, including some that you would probably never see on an actual leaf!
And then on Sunday, August, 25th I'll be teaching Boho Starburst. This is a 1/2 day class and fun for both beginners and experienced beaders. We'll be using the awesome 2-hole SuperDuo beads along with various sizes of seed beads and stitching them into fanciful circular shapes to create this fun bracelet. Then we'll use Firepolish beads to make a very fun and useful ball & loop clasp! No experience is required for this class but it is helpful if you've worked with tiny seed beads prior to the class. This class kit is also available in several other colorways including the Turquoise & Bronze version as shown in the images on the Perlen Posie website listing for the classes.
I hope to see some of you in class!
